EFCA vote now expected on Tuesday
Senate staffers report that the chamber will hold additional debate on the Employee Free Choice Act on Monday afternoon and Tuesday morning before a cloture vote currently schedule for 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. One Republican staffer notes: "We feel confident that they will not be able to get 60 votes, and maybe even that they won't get the 52 votes they expect."
EFCA proponents are busy at You Tube adding adding CSPAN clips of Democratic Senators making speeches about the measure. They don't seem to be interested in uploading clips from the other side. But, that is not terribly surprising. This card-check process is, after all, about trying to get people committed without them hearing all of the facts.
