House Subcommittee Hearing on NLRB Supervisor Decisions
The U.S. House of Representatives Subcommittee on Health, Employment, Labor, and Pensions held a hearing on May 8, 2007 entitled "Are NLRB and Court Rulings Misclassifying Skilled and Professional Employees as Supervisors?" The full video of the Hearing is available HERE . Among the highlights was the testimony of Charge Nurse Lori Gay, who was determined to be a statutory supervisor by the NLRB. Ms. Gay alleged: “ Basically . . . I am in charge of a pencil.”
