EFCA Round-Up -- October 28, 2008

At National Review Online's The Corner blog, former NLRB Member Peter Kirsanow expands upon the "Employee Free Choice Act and Joe the Plumber," the latest in his many recent missives on the Act.

The Wall Street Journal continues to report vigorously on EFCA, declaring that "Obama's pro-union agenda is the most ambitious in decades...." The thorough piece covers not only EFCA, but also the RESPECT Act, a ban on use of replacement workers, and the Senator's opposition to Right to Work laws.

In its Opinion pages today, Mark Mix of the National Right to Work Committee warns of the "new Wagner Act" ahead, by asserting that the passage of the original and "Labor Unions Prolonged the Depression."

And in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, Jack Markowitz plants tongue firmly in cheek and derides the "false label" placed on the "Employee Bullying By Labor Goons Act."
