Dem Congresswoman: "It's a Secret Ballot, Thank the Lord!"

The Congressional Democrats met this week to choose between Reps. John Dingell of Michigan and Rep. Henry A. Waxman of California for the chairmanship of the Energy and Commerce Committee.  The Democratic caucus was fairly evenly split between the two candidates, and apparently emotions ran high at times. 


Asked for whom she voted, Rules Committee Chair Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) said...


Wait for it...


"Oh, it's a secret ballot, thank the Lord!"


Staunch EFCA opponent Rep. Buck McKeon (R-CA) quickly pointed out the hypocrisy; as did House Minority Leader Rep. John Boehner (R-OH).  The EFCA supporters still don't get it....
