Congressional Dems to Push "President" Obama's Labor Agenda Starting Now
Congressional Democrats intend to introduce a number of bills between now and Election Day that have little or no chance of passing. They have announced that they will use Congress to showcase the kinds of legislation they intend to pass in 2009 if Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) sits in the White House. According to an Associated Press report:
The last two bills mentioned above are the "Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act" (H.R. 2381), and the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) of 2007 (H.R. 3685) -- both of which passed the House late last year, and were subsequently filibustered in the Senate.
